Valeska Ramsay is a private collector living in Hamilton, Ontario.
Professor Alison McQueen, Curator and Professor of Art History, McMaster
has chosen 64 works of art from her collection for the exhibition titled

COLLECTOR’S LOAN.
Four of those art works are paintings by Marie Laywine.
The four paintings are from the work done while living in the Middle East;
watercolour on handmade paper.

Marie exhibited at the NewcastleGateshead Art Fair in 2009 and 2010. "As an exhibitor, I found the Art Fair well organised and tension-free, with staff always on hand to help," she says. "Andy Balman, the Director, was always on the premises and available for assistance."

The fair, now in its fifth year, is continuing to grow as an inspiring event in the arts calendar, showcasing a vast variety of artworks from both national and internationally recognised artists. The 2011 event will be held from 30 September to 2 October at The Sage in Gateshead. For more information click here.
